HTTP

• RFC 2616 (Hypertext Transfer Protocol): HTTP/1.1
• RFC 2617 (HTTP Authentication): Basic and Digest Access Authentication
• NTLM authentication: Microsoft's NTLM (integrated windows authentication, NT challenge/response) authentication reverse-engineered
• WebDAV: It is a set of extensions to the HTTP protocol which allows users to collaboratively edit and manage files on remote web servers.

Tools

• httpTutor: generate HTTP calls from a webpage (MS IE only)
• js base64: a javascript encoder/decoder. Also encode/decode base64 on the webpage
• vbs base64: a vbscript implementation

Charactersets

• Czyborra (seems to be down at the moment, 10/20/2003): Nice intro on Unicode on UNIX, and splendit explanation on character-sets.
