With a formula, only the trailing spaces are counted. Default with for formula fields without a space is 8. Elastic tabstops can be used within one paragraph. Use the ::-marker with spaces around it, and you get same size columns. Not all lines need to have the same number of tab-stops. Begin a paragraph with a >-sign, and it's a blockquote.
